There's a field on the submission page to insert keywords in. Is this so we can enter terms for people who want to pull up certain things when they're using "search"? What's the best way to pick the keywords to be entered?

Just curious.

I choose one keyword for each sub-category and each sexual pairing.

For an incest story about a brother and sister exploring anal sex, I'd use "Brother/Sister" "Anal" "Rimming" "1st" and any other keywords that applied to the scenes in the story.

Keywords

It appears the site uses a standard search engine algorithm to allow searches.

Keywords, therefore are not strictly required, however, if you do include them your story should be closer to the top than one without keywords.

Your keywords are limited to 35 characters including punctuation and spaces. So choose carefully, I agree with Weird Harold, use descriptive words that actually apply to your story.

Stay away from generic words like, love, sex etc. (Think about how you would want to find your story if you had to use, say Google. What keywords would you type in?)

As to where the keywords are kept, they are indexed on the lit servers with the servers, but readers won't see them.

The url above will take you to the "search stories" section, check it out for yourself.

Hope this was helpful.

Mac.
