After my audio is published on lit, can I delete the file from my phone for privacy reasons?

Not official technical advice, but - yes - you can remove it from your phone if you want to make sure no one discovers it. That won't affect the audio published on the website.

The only thing to be cautious of is if the site later removes your story for violating any rules - I think it should just go back to refused and the audio will still be there, but I can't guarantee it won't vanish completely. You might want to find a discrete location to back up anything you'd be devastated if there was a 0.1% chance of loss.

Google drive is your friend here! If you're already using a second gmail address, just go to google drive for that account. Upload there and delete from your phone.
