Question about "pending"

I noticed on my author page where it says "pending" the word is now black instead of light blue and there is a date, too.

I'm new and I've lurked for a month trying to figure how to go about this the right way so I don't mess up LOL. I assume (*grin* I'm sure you guys know what they say about assuming!) that the story will post tomorrow since that is the date posted.

Stupid question, I know! What else could it mean, right? I guess I'm looking for someone to reassure me that I'm right since I had no experience. I've read that it can take longer for a new author to post so I was surprised that it was accepted in 2 days.

I haven't seen a question like this, and if I missed it, I'm sorry. I'm on nights right now and I'm a little fuzzy :)

Thanks guys,

Dura Blue

And 12:01 EST or soon thereafter, on the date on your submission, your story will be available for readers to peruse.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Laurel and Manu automate the process when they want a day off... :D Hence the date appears and you can't click pending anymore.

But that's probably not true. :)

Congratulations on your first story!

That is pretty much true. Pending with a date next to it is a story that is scheduled for posting.

Days off are only one of the reasons a story might be flagged for posting on a specific date, but it is one of the reasons for delayed approvals.

Hi, Durablue, and welcome to Literotica and the AH. That is a perfectly reasonable question, and it has already been answered. It is 2:00PM now, so the story should be posted in seven hours. :)

Hey!

Sorry for taking so long to answer, just got up. Forgot to shut my comp off before went to bed.

Thanks guys, that makes me feel much better! Hate that I'll be at work went it comes out lol. Well, it'll make a nice surprise when I get off in the morning :D

I hope!
