Question about Patreon connection

I was wondering how to best direct readers towards my Patreon account. According to the guidelines, we're not allowed to have any kind of web address in the actual story, so I assume that means I can't put a link my Patreon page at the end. I was considering just putting at the bottom of submissions:

'Please consider supporting me on Patreon. Details on my profile.'

Any thoughts or suggestions on how best to do this?

You can link to other LIT stories from your story, but to nowhere beyond the LIT story side. You may link to external sites from your author's profile. Don't expect LIT to advertise competitors.

I don't think Patreon technically counts as a competitor to Literotica. In fact, my Patreon page is driving traffic TO Literotica. These stories are what I create that I am asking for patron funding to make.

You're not going to be able to mention Patreon — even without a link — on story submissions. You can stick a link in your profile, but you can't directly tell people to go to your profile for a Patreon link on story submissions.

I've seen some people add comments directing people to Patreon pages, but I wouldn't count on that passing now with comment moderation. You're just going to have to assume that anyone interested enough to support you financially is also going to be interested enough to explore your profile and find the link.

Also, if you plan on hanging around on the forums, it doesn't hurt to keep both links to your story page and Patreon in your signature. I'm not 100% sure how many eyeballs you'll get, but I have seen some action on my work, especially when my stories have dropped from the "new story" lists.

@ Blind_Justice: Thanks for the input. This is actually the first time I've come into the Bulletin Boards, but I'll take the suggestion about the signature and try to get a little more active in here. It at least won't hurt.

@RejectReality: Thanks for the heads up. I was afraid that might be the case, thus why I asked and didn't just go ahead and do it. I appreciate the help.

At the end of my stories, I put a link to an Extended Author's Notes post over in Story Feedback. See this for an example. If I were to have a Patreon account, I'd then put it into my signature and everyone who clicked on the link to read my Extended Author's Notes would see that I had a Patreon account.
