I know of Quentin Tarrantino and a couple of his films, but haven't thought of him in years. His wares are over the top violent. His latest efforts are PC orthodox nigger loving, to call a spade a spade. Pure fantasy that never happened, and wont happen.

That said, my latest effort resembles Tarrantino if you could turn him inside out. All my white male characters are queers or tranny wannabees, the white female characters are bipolar, nigger cock hounds, and drug addicts. The black characters are all huge pimps and drug dealers with no brains. Theyre dildos for depressed white wives. The real bad asses are Italian gangsters who fuck their sisters and other female kin. Life in America is so chaotic the elites hire the gangsters to control the niggers and ragheads. Assassinations are how my principal character makes his living. His daddy is a lifer crime lord who got his youngest sister pregnant 25 years ago.

I hope it offends you.

I am in the vast minority of people who can't stand the over rated asshole. As you called out everything he does is over the top. He can't buy subtle. From the ridiculous borderline comic book style violence to the every other word being profanity to characters so "tough' they could never be real its all nothing more than teen age boy fantasy.

He's also done more than his share of 'homages' and remakes meaning...nothing original.

On the other hand oddly enough I thought he played a great role in Dusk Til dawn as a twisted bank robber and he was good in a small role in Desperado (I think the Banderas movie) I'd be curious to see what he could do in a full out starring role as a serial killer. But for me his directing is meh. I was writing more realistic scenarios when I was 15

I don't care for the majority of his filmography, but I do enjoy the majority of his female characters. Sure, his lady roles are over the top, but they get to be bad ass--while being dressed modestly--they get to be flawed and have some depth to them, and they get funny lines--even if most of the dialog is simplistic, or is just a string of obscenities.

Out of the lot, I would have to say 'Death Proof' is my favorite.

I agree he's not misogynistic in anyway, he's had some kick ass female leads. Also showed he's not homophobic with the guys banging Ving in Pulp Fiction. So he doesn't fall under my "Rudy/Real man" category, but still think he's over rated and caters to the lowest denominator of teen age plot lines.

Haha, that, I'm not debating. Hubby dragged me to see 'The Hateful Eight' in theaters last year, and I would love to have those hours of my life back.

Wasn't that movie close to three hours?

My wife and I are 360 degree opposites in almost everything and movies is a big one. The only ones we see together are the Super hero movies. She does chick flicks with her friends I go to horror movies with my youngest daughter.

I'm not sure how to take it when there's a Tarantino movie out and she says "You're not going to see it? I figured you liked that stuff."

Hateful Eight I passed on, but Magnificent Seven is looking like a possibility.

I don't love westerns--Hubby does on the other hand--but Magnificent Seven was an enjoyable movie for both of us.
I can sit through just about any kind of action, fantasy, scifi, or horror, but I can't do chick flicks or romcoms.

Not a fan of westerns for the most part, but Seven looks fun

Now Tombstone? That movie rocked! Val Kilmer stole it some of the best lines ever.

I think my favorite was the "I have not yet begun to defile myself"

Hey guys, quit fucking up JBJ's racist rant. That's what this "Hey, look at me" thread is all about, not an actual discussion of the director and movies. :D

Oh, I know. I didn't even bother reading the opening post.

So...Tarantino movies...opinions, thoughts, reactions?
:D

Right on, TEX!

I'm headed to TEX's threads for some wholesome discussion.

WAIT! TEX has no threads, good bad or ugly.

Please! Send TEX some ideas!

Threads change. He brought up Tarantino Movies, so there's no reason not to talk about the great ones, like Pulp Fiction. Reminded now of when Machete dove out of the window with the guy's intestines to swing to the next floor.

I was reacting to the part of the post worth discussing.

I also pay no attention to his racism. Seeing as he has a black son in law that he gets along very well with, I am onto his Archie Bunker routine being just that. His racist rants are not heartfelt, but for effect.

Me on the other hand? When I crank up about hatred of certain types of men? I'm holding back:eek: I'm a genuine hater.

Nope, no threads at present but then again I don't need the "Hey look at me" to get me through the day.

You saints are clueless. So uptight and PC. Your asses will crack if you say NIGGER but you wont hesitate to inflict the sorriest asshead teachers on all of them and your low expectations. Bite me.

You got no ideas or youre afraid PILOT wont approve.

I have ideas but none that would be worth the time and effort. As for Pilot, he is your problem not mine. And not being my problem makes you worry even more.

I just wanna offend as many as possible.
Really? I couldn't tell.

Magnificent Seven is looking like a possibility.
Wait for Redbox. It would have been worth the $1.60, but it wasn't worth the $7.50.
(possible spoilers, I don't think they are)
Hour and change of "story" which was bad guy killed some good people, good people go look for someone to get revenge, find a less bad guy with a bone to pick with bad guy #1. They go look for other bad guys to fight bad guy #1 and his army. The 7 that come together would NEVER come together in real life.

20 minutes of action. done.
