just saw that earlier today. was pretty good, though the first little while wasn't doing much for me. now, normally i don't like vampire movies unless there's lots of vampire ass being kicked (like Blade) b/c, frankly, i hate the damn bloodsuckers. i guess i kinda liked the fact that a few hate what they've become and what they have to do to "live" on.

i nearly walked out ready to either kill or to turn into a sobbing wreck when Lestat had to kill the fiddler girl. she looked so damn much like my best friend who just happens to play the fiddle/violin, too, and she's damn good at it. i love her to pieces and just couldn't stop seeing her instead of the actress as things in that scene went wrong.
:(

other than that, it was not bad, though i must say Aaliyah's acting wasn't great.

I saw it and I thought it was ok.

Two things I wonder.

What was with Akasha walking with her arms sawing and swinging her hips.

Now that the vampries all drank her dry does that mean they can go out in the daylight?

1. it goes along with that whole vampire power of seduction thing.

2. well, read the books and find out. The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice
