Pyper!!!!!

No, I´m just impersonating Pyper!

Yes, it´s really me. I´ve been muchas busy lately, running around enrolling in classes, finding myself an apartment and such things. Also I still can´t get used to the fact that I have to pay in cash for my internet. I need cash for groceries dammit!

But anyway, hi! It´s good to see you all again. :)

I guess you just moved out of the Dorms into an apartment then ehh Pyper. Have fun it is much better then the dorms, but weird at times.

Yep, no more stinkin dorms. Okay, here´s a funny Spain story:

Here in Granada, dryers are virtually a foreign concept. Everyone hangs their undies out the window a la 19th century New York period piece. I live on the sixth floor of my building and one day was hanging my clothes out to dry, when, I´m sure you saw this coming, I dropped my pants. I swear it wasn´t my fault, the clothes pins were of poor quality. Luckily, they landed on the clothesline of the fourth floor. I say luckily because our clothesline faces the patio of the apartment building, and, odlly, enough, there are no doors that lead to the patio. If my pants had fallen to the ground, I have no idea what I would have done. Snuck into a ground floor apartment and climb out their window to the patio?

So I walk down two floors rehearsing all the way in Spanish what I´m going to say to whoever answers the door. Fortunately, the guy in 4E was very nice about it, and went right away to retrieve my pants. I also noted that, despite being directly below me, his apartment was way bigger. How did that happen?

So that is one of my stories of embarassment in Spain. Tune in next time for the story of me getting kicked off the bus.

hello pyper .... my sisters doing work in spain but just for a week

good luck with things hope you have a good time

hehe that is cool. I really want to go to spain, but before I do I need to brush up on my Spanish. It has gotten pretty bad. I was never really fluent in it but it was at least at a seim-conversational level. Now I can ask for some directions or the bathroom follow bits and pices of convos from native speakers thats it.

When I say kicked off, I´m exaggerating just a little. What happened was yesterday I set about to learn the bu system, cause I have to take the bus to my faculty, because it´s up the biggest ass hill in the world.

So in the morning I took the C line to the faculty no problems whatsoever. After class I figured I would just hop on the C in the opposite direction, and end up back where I started, right? Wrong.

Apparently, in Granada, the stops going one direction are not the same as the stops going the other direction, and the stops going the other direction are no where near my apartment. So I notice this while on the bus, and figure I can just ride it in a circle and end up back where I started, right? Wrong.

We get out to Zaidin, the most barren, remote, nasty region of the city of Granada. I´m the only one left on the bus, and the driver insists that I get off. I have no idea why. So I get off in this bad neighborhood that looks suspiciously like Mexico, and wait half an hour for the SAME EXACT BUS LINE to come along and take me back to my street. Sheesh.

Holy shit! How did I miss this?

Hi Pyperina, you've been missed!
