Pyper Doesn't love me anymore

No! Don't ever think that Todd! I still love you! Without you, who would I debate with?

::starts singing "You Light Up My Life"::

You do love me, you really do, I thought you hated me. becuase I wouldn't go back to being an atheist.

As long as you don't try to make me go back to being a Christian, I won't try to make you go back to being an atheist. :)

Ok that sounds fair, though I didn't think I was trying to convert you or anyone.

did you see the statistical{sp?} quote on CNN last week about christianity and athiestism?

Aparently{sp?} they poleld like 10000 people on the net and came to the conclusion that in 2000 75% of christians come from atheist homes and 75% of atheist come from christian homes.

Kinda sounds like both groups are pushing thier{sp?} religious views on thier{sp?} Children to hard. Would you agree?

I don't buy that poll simply because there are so few atheists in the world, especially in the United States. I think the statistic is something like 95% of Americans have some kind of supernatural belief. So that leaves only 5% atheist.

It would be simply impossible for 75% of Christians to come from atheist homes if the nation is already 95% believing and...okay, I've confused myself. The math has become too much for me.

I was raised Catholic, but I don't think I was pushed anymore than Catholics who continue to believe. When I grew up, I stopped believing, just as I stopped believing in Santa Claus. I read a really weird theory that atheism is somehow biological because it is so rare and seemingly unrelated to religious background. I dunno, sounds pretty far out to me.

Can we talk about this a bit more through email if youlike and wish not to bore the board?

Sure. We can relieve them of yet another "Pyper and Todd Debate About Stuff" thread.

No its me Pyper doesn't love! And I'll fight you for it!!!

(Hey Kerrie - another thread you didnt' kill)

Aw, thanks Kerrie. I just worry that people might be getting tired of the endless parade of threads where only Todd and I seem to be talking. Right now, our fundamentalist friend is filling me in on his multi-universe, antfarm theories.

Kerrie - looks like you killed another thread! Oh wait... nope, you didn't...

Todd's not too bad to talk with on AIM. Now he's explaining the evidence for ancient peoples being abducted by UFO's.

Im amazed that Todds ideas arent known far and wide.

<I wager any amount that he has a wire tap on his phone>

Ya'll should ask him his theory on property taxes. *nods with wide eyed sageness*
