PYLs and the military

So, I've noticed that quite a few Dom/mes (haven't met that many Dommes, but I'm going to include them anyway) seem to come from a military/law enforcement background or are currently in a military/law enforcement occupation. I thought it would be interesting to post a little pole, and see what comes of it. Feel free to comment on the results.

P.S.: sorry about not being PC in the poll. I meant to write PYLs, not Dom/mes

playmate #1 was marines
play mate #2 was army
playmate #3 no military
playmate #4 was army, then national gaurd, now back to army
playmate #5 was marines

those are all that I can think of off the top of my head

oh, and #4 is the only one I still even talk to now, but it's been a while since I've seen him.

I have also noted a link to the military / elite forces over the years in dominants . In both current and previous dominant 'acquaintances' , it's such a consistent factor to me that I am no longer surprised.

I voted once , which remains a percentage of overall experience.

My time to serve would've been during the Vietnam conflict. There was a draft lottery back then, and since my birthdate drew a high number, I decided to stay "1A" for my year of eligibility instead of taking a college deferment. The year passed without my number being called, so I wasn't drafted, nor did I enlist.

Air Force for a bit... then 17 years Law Enforcement (which is actually para-military, not military). I was a cop a lot longer than I was in the service but I didn't see that option until after I clicked the AF vote...

My Dom has never been military but my husband is active duty now.

My husband is a senior officer and is very much a in charge type of guy at work. He has said that the very last thing that he wants to do after an 14-16 hour day at work is to come home and have to dominant me, too. So he happily gives that up to someone else.

Daddy is Active duty Army 22 years this month Senior Enlisted. Will retire next year.
