putin multi-bombs train station in eastern Ukraine where 1,000+ were inside trying to escape russian onslaught

Latest figures are 50 dead (12 died from wounds in hospital so far) and ~90 (86?) wounded, from missing limbs to shrapnel cuts. 5 children died.
"Tochka-U" missile with cluster munitions were used (possibly two of those), they hit the square in front of the train station, with a crowd waiting for the evacuation train.
Yesterday, in train station west on the line Russian planes shot up and collapsed an overpass, blocking the railway -- and three evacuation trains full off people -- for most of yesterday. That's partially why the crowd today was even larger.
The attack was probably conducted from "separatist" hold territory east of Donetsk. There's a video allegedly showing the ascent trails in the sky, consistent with time and angle.
It was, likely, a premeditated attack know by Russian propagandist in advance, as RIA published a claim Ukrainian "fascists" shelled themselves again in mere minutes.
There's huge campaign of claims afterwards that "only Ukraine use that rocket" so it can't possibly be Russians. That is demonstrably untrue.
Russia does have large numbers of that system and huge stockpiles of rockets in storage. Further it was openly displayed in relatively recent military parade (although regional, not Moscow) and fired publicly in recent exercises. Already after the start of the invasion, the systems were filmed unloading in Belarus from trains and later driving on Belarus roads in multiple occasions, including just a few days ago going in direction of Russia.
On the booster part of one of the missiles an inscription in white spray can be seen "за детей" -- "for children."
It can be reasonable to speculate that with the exploded warhead part the full inscription might have been "за детей Донбасса" = "[in revenge] for children of Donbas" making it only extreme production of exalted propaganda not quite pure psychopathy.
However, there's little doubt it was a premeditated crime.
Moreover, one of the officials of the self-declared "republics" come out with a warning against using railroad in attempts to evacuate west. There was, and still is, military logic in that. There's currently only one railway line connecting the eastern fortified regions with Dnipro and western Ukraine. It's going not that far in front of forward position of Russian advance in the northern flank and cutting it is natural early objective for the upcoming major attack. That's why the evaluation is ongoing in the first place. Creating a panic and scaring people from using railway might, in theory, create congestion on roads, possibly slowing redeployment of Ukrainian army reinforcements coming down from Kyiv. So yes, however cynical, this attack have readable military goals.
