Russian strongman Vladimir Putin was scheduled to have the all-important 'Superpower Summit' phone call today with United States wannabee-strongman Donald Trump.

One problem; Putin was having too much fun at at televised "town hall" meeting in Russia. The moderator gently reminded Putin of his oh-so-important phone call with POTUS. Putin grinned and said "let him wait'. The Russian audience howled in laughter. Putin shrugged and mused on camera 'I wonder how long he will wait?" and grinned, earning even more laughs.

Putin took questions from the audience for another two hours, then ambled offstage without a care in the world to speak to Trump. He offered no apology for the delay. That, folks, is dealing from a position of strength. Trump desperately seeks Putin's approval and Putin was enjoying Don Cheetolini's uncomfortablel squirming.

DonOld got Punk’d by Putin

How unfortunate and humiliating for “DonOld the beta”…(and for all the MAGAts who are delusional enough to believe DonOld is an "alpha")

😑

Trump wrangled one important concession out of these tense negotiations:
America and Russia should field their best and brightest ice hockey players for a home-and-home championship series.
Both agreed no Canadians would be permitted to play for either side.

The Art of the Deal, Baybeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I saw that… the Russians will kick the Americans asses.

Last time they met, the mobster gave Putin his pathetic grade-school hand-squeeze & yank.

Putin gave him his down-stare and said nothing, because he doesn't need to play silly domination games and he's seen it all before. Then he makes him wait like Nelson Muntz outside Principal Skinner's office. And the world laughs.

Battling each other to see who gets silver doesn't sound like a bad idea.

I saw that… the Russians will kick the corrupt orange traitor’s ass.

Fyp; yw.

Also:

Decent, intelligent, patriotic, loyal Americans will have an appropriate response for Putin & Xi, etc, once the corrupt orange traitor is out of power.

Those same Americans will expect our historic allies to take into consideration the mental disease and defects of the MAGAts who voted for DonOld, and to give America a pass for this once in a lifetime (twice?) orange anomaly.

I know that ^ is a lot to ask, but the U.S. has given much to the betterment of the free world over the years, so I would expect some grace.

👍

Funny no wrongway, hump or arpy to interject...."fake news"

I dislike Trump. Nevertheless, if he can achieve an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine that is not an unconditional Ukrainian surrender I will give Trump credit. If prolonging the War in Ukraine could result in the Russian Federation going the way of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, I would be in favor of prolonging the War, but I am afraid it can't.

Putin thought the conquest of Ukraine would be easy. Because it was not, I doubt he will be emboldened to try to conquer another country.

Rosenberg: Trump-Putin call seen as victory in Russia

Judging by some of the headlines today in Russia, Moscow believes that the latest telephone conversation between Presidents Putin and Trump went well - certainly for the Kremlin.

"Putin and Trump agreed to work together on Ukraine resolution," concludes Izvestia.

"Record-long Putin-Trump call," declares Komsomolskaya Pravda. The paper's website adds: "As things stand Russia has scored a diplomatic victory here."

Why are some in Russia claiming "victory" after this two-hour phone call?

Probably because, by the end of it, Vladimir Putin hadn't been pressured into making any major concessions to Ukraine or to the United States. On the contrary, he had - in effect - rejected President Trump's idea of an immediate unconditional 30-day ceasefire.

putin continues to ignore trump's online whining about bombing Ukraine... it's making trump look bad that he hasn't already ended the war 'on day one'

Although Trump possibly thought sending a message to a fellow world leader on his own social media platform was the height of global statesmanship, Putin hadn’t responded to Trump’s fiery post as of Thursday afternoon.

However, many people on social media did, and most thought Trump’s post was whiny and ineffectual ― especially since the attack on Kyiv came after the president predicted a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.
