Speaking of the press, there has been a great deal of griping by them that they have not been kept informed. Personally, I think there is no obligation to tell them anything. I won't say it is none of their business because it is news, and that is their business. I just don't think there is any obligation.

This was an accident and has nothing to do with Cheney's official duties. I think of it as being like Clinton's affairs, really nobody's business, except that one of those affairs resulted in an act of perjury, which led to impeachment. The others, however, were nobody's business. There was a time when the press respected privacy but that was long ago.

Actually, they are making a bigger deal out of when George knew Dick shot the poor SOB. What difference does that make!
