Although this thread here is mainly about male shaving many of the same tips apply.

Try taking a nice long hot bath. This will soften things up nicely.

Should allow for a smoother shave and a nice evening!

Just a thought.

Good luck to you.

I'm a guy, but I get the same problem when I shave. I get little red bumps almost immediately after shaving the area around the base of my penis.

shaving methods

OK, I may be a huge nerd, but when I first started shaving my pussy completely, I actually researched it on the Internet. I found a lot of information, but this is what I have found works best for me....

I like to sit on the toilet to shave, instead of being in the shower or bathtub. I assume you've already taken scissors and trimmed everything down to a shave-able level. Run the water really hot, get a washcloth wet, and hold it over yourself to soften the hair. Leave it on for a few minutes, and then spread a generous amount of shaving lotion all over. Let that sit for a few minutes, to get the hair extra soft. Then start shaving. You can pull the skin tight for a closer shave, but make sure you go with the direction of hair growth to avoid razor burn and all those bumps. I like to use pink Daisy razors, and I only use them 2 or 3 times before throwing them out and using a new one (I also only use this razor for shaving my pussy!). Spread your lips, and get down in there with the shaving. Then rinse off with hot water, and repeat if you missed any spots. I follow up with Bikini Zone shave cream, you can get it at any drugstore pretty much. At first, you may still get bumps. I did. Just hold a hot towel for a few minutes over it every day, and these will go away. The hair will start to grow back in smoother and softer, making it easier to shave without razor burn. Eventually, you can switch to using vaseline for a smoother shave instead of shaving lotion. Good luck! Be careful not to make any embarrassing nicks... I've made that mistake a time or two.

i have tonight finally done just that cut the hair down to be most shavable nicked my lip:eek: then applied the shaving cream and began took most off beside my lips and the sides of my pussy left like a kewl little landing zone since I didn't want to go completely BALD so here's to hoping I can test it out always wondered if you came more easily or harder with less hair:cool:

I think you do orgasm more easily, or maybe more intensely, with no hair. I do know for sure that I am more sensitive. Sometimes just wearing my crotchless panties, with no hair, and the edge of the lace rubbing up against me leaves me dripping! Let me know what you think.

well i won't be able to commence my little experiment until later on tonight hopefully, so i'll let ya know how it goes;)

shaving your kitty

Shaving your pussy is the most wonderful thing to do..
But girls be careful.....

I have been shaving my pussy since last August and let me tell you when I have on lace or silky panties i am wet all day and night...

To shave my kitten I use bikini razor's they are the best, small and wont cut.. After you take your bath or shower that is the one and only time to shave it leaves my kitten soft, smooth and silky.. What a feeling........

I've learned that shaving it, well for a woman that's never ever had a lub prob its alittle unconfy with it always dripping down your thighs DAMN:eek: and unfortunitely hubby wasn't feeling up to my little experiment tonight:(

I always keep myself shaved. Nice and smooth!

all that effort and no reward! unfair... you poor thing! but I think it pays off even when I'm by myself.

Fresh

There's nothing like a fresh, clean cut shave without bumps. The Kama Sutra, among its most famous stuff, says one should shave the body (not face) every 5-7 days (I think). Me, I'd be happy to do it (and see it done) more, especially since stubble is both ugly and itchy...I think I finally understand why women don't like kissing guys with beards!

MMMM

Yum! I love when a guy is shaved. Means you get less hair in your mouth when you go down on him. Now only if I can get my guy to keep his shaved!

Shaving there has become such a part of my morning ritual now. There's something about that lather that's so darn close to a woman's natural juices that sometimes I just have to get off in the shower after shaving.

I jut can't ever see myself going back to being that fuzzy again & I've yet to have a lover complain about my smoothness.

first, do it in the bath. the longer the area soaks in hot water the better. second, dont skimp on the shaving gel. use expensive stuff. your legs might be used to the razor but that area is not. always shave with the grain, using many short strokes and not long ones (this keeps the razor sharp and in contact with your skin). finally, use a good quality lotion to keep the area moisterized. don't despair about the bumps, they will happen on and off until the area gets used to being shaved. have fun and keep a stedy grip! ;)

Razer burn or bumps, are in actuality a fungal infection, and occurs more often during the summer. Treating with essential oils that have anti-fungal properties works wonderfully. Essential oils such as as Tea Tree, Lemon Eucalyptus, Myrtle, Manuka, or lemongrass (any one of these) can be added to a lavender water and spritzed on as an aftershave (use 6 drops per ounze of water and shake before each spritz) or add a few drops of tea tree (or others) to a wash basin of warm water as an afterwash. Lavender, Myrh and Tea Tree can be added to a cream or unscented lotion and will be very soothing to the skin and make the bumps disappear very quickly. A way to prevent this from happening at all is to eat lots of garlic, orgarlic capsules to build up the immune system and thus combat any infections. Avoid any synthetic scented products, as well as any alchohol based products or harsh chemicals as well.

Primal Ellements makes foaming bath crystals in various varieties that also work great if you are shaving in the bath. This is the same for razer bumps on legs or arms or anywhere on the body. I personally like adding some tea tree or lemon eucalptus to some lotion and applying to the affected area (s). Those two oils are great for making the bumps, which are actually a fungul infection disappear. I've noticed that eating garlic regularly does work well for me, as I shave my genitalia twice a week, and legs every other day and have been seeing less bumps.

ok i've already shaven my pussy but its itchy as hell what would I put on that to stop the itch?

Just try not to scratch it too much, since it seems like that makes more bumps. Use some sort of lotion with no scents... I use bikini zone creme from the drugstore, and it helps a whole lot.
