Yes, it's little tiny Pixie Bug. The tiny kitten we rescued.

She is filling out well but still not growing. Apparently her growth has been stunted by her weeks or months as a stray. But she is thriving.

She sits on me while I type on my laptop. It's annoying but sweet.

And she has decided that I am to be protected at all costs.

Today for some reason she has decided that other cats in the house must stay far away from me. And she punctuates this by charging at them, growling and swatting with claws. WTF?

Then she comes running back to snuggle with me again.

It's cute, if not psychotic.

And of course, there are also the scratches left behind as she leaps off my lap to go and defend. I hope they're gone by Chicago.

Jesus, cats are weird.

Awww...she is cute. That's part of their charm...the weirdness. She's imprinted on you and has become your buddy.

I hope the scratches are gone...we can't have you in the Naked Party Room looking like you've been mugged by a puma. ;)

Oh my gosh! I almost forgot!

She disappeared when Bel and Imp arrived and didn't reappear until they were gone.

But this fits into our belief that she was abused before we found her, and by an adult person. We've had lots of kids over but not many adults since that time.

As a stray, she'd hide until we put the food down and left. They'd she'd come out from hiding and eat ravenously. After about a week she was okay with us, had apparently figured out that we were safe and would allow us to pet her.

We were, after all, the "people who bring food".

Solution - Bel and Imp will just have to stay longer next time, allow Pixie to adjust.

:)
And bring food. ;)

You may end up with a situation like I have - everyone suffers everyone else, except when they don't.
This morning it was Juliet's turn to be the victim - both Harry and Billy beat her up today, with Tene cheering them on. Mind you, she brought it all on herself, she used to beat the stripes of them all when they were kittens. We couldn't trust her alone with them. Now they're all bigger than her and getting their own back.

I adopted a feral cat. She is TINY... probably 6 pounds if I'm lucky and she's 8 years old. She is also VICIOUS. We have a stray tomcat in the neighborhood that thinks that he can just come in the garage and eat the designer food I leave out for the princess.

The "princess" doesn't share. :D
Even the tomcat she raised gives her a wide berth.

I think it's a girl thing. Tene, Harry and Billy were all foundling kittens. Harry and Billy are lovely - Harry's a shit stirrer but he means no harm.
Tene and Juliet (my burmese Princess) don't hold back when it comes to fights. And Tene is a bad tempered vicious little tart to her people when it suits her too.
