Yes, it's little tiny Pixie Bug. The tiny kitten we rescued.
She is filling out well but still not growing. Apparently her growth has been stunted by her weeks or months as a stray. But she is thriving.
She sits on me while I type on my laptop. It's annoying but sweet.
And she has decided that I am to be protected at all costs.
Today for some reason she has decided that other cats in the house must stay far away from me. And she punctuates this by charging at them, growling and swatting with claws. WTF?
Then she comes running back to snuggle with me again.
It's cute, if not psychotic.
And of course, there are also the scratches left behind as she leaps off my lap to go and defend. I hope they're gone by Chicago.
Jesus, cats are weird.
And bring food.Oh my gosh! I almost forgot!
She disappeared when Bel and Imp arrived and didn't reappear until they were gone.
But this fits into our belief that she was abused before we found her, and by an adult person. We've had lots of kids over but not many adults since that time.
As a stray, she'd hide until we put the food down and left. They'd she'd come out from hiding and eat ravenously. After about a week she was okay with us, had apparently figured out that we were safe and would allow us to pet her.
We were, after all, the "people who bring food".
Solution - Bel and Imp will just have to stay longer next time, allow Pixie to adjust.
