The voting age was lowered to 16 in the Scottish Independence Referendum. EVERYBODY, including those who opposed it, now believe it was beneficial to our democracy. It will be 16 in furture Scottish Parliament elections, and old Westminster will latch onto it eventually.

Hell, if a kid of 16 can be trained to kill in the services, and has to pay taxes on earnings, they are entitled to vote. NO TAXTAION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION.
