hehehe, ok, so it's not what most of you were hoping for, but..

a radio station up here in Anchorage is doing this "A to Z of Rock" marathon thing, alphabetizing all their "best" hits and playing them in order. as i turned on my car radio while on lunch break today, Problem Child by AC/DC is playing, immediately followed by Hendrix' Purple Haze.

should i feel pathetic in that i found that funny?

I miss KWHL.

Of course, their morning show seriously sucked while I was there. They'd harangue the listeners for demanding that they play actual music more often than twice a show.

they got two new guys, Jason and Jamie Garrett. they're pretty funny, but quite crude. they're brothers, not gay lovers.

oh, and did you hear about the small "rebellion" that some of the KWHL guys had close to two years ago? they broke away b/c KWHL got into this bad habit of having a preset play list. if you were to turn the radio on at 11:45 pm exactly every week, you'd hear the exact same song everytime. so a handful of the crew there broke away and started their own station, KZND, 87.7 fm, and named it "The End" since it's at the very bottom of the FM band and technically a TV frequency. they had a camera set up in their studio for a while that played the show live, or so i've been told. they're not officially recognized as even existing.
