A new story:
Suppose that the husband or wife committed adultery.
Suppose that in a futuristic society, all adulterers/adulteresses are punished in the following way:
1. A husband who cheats is automatically divorced from his wife and sent to 3 years in a male prostitution house to serve as a shemale.
2. A wife who strays is automatically divorced from her husband and sent to 3 years in a brothel to serve as a prostitute.
3. The Madam/Pimp of the prostitution organization grades the behavior of the new sex workers. Enthusiasm as a prostitute lessens the time served, while reluctance and rebellious behavior is punished with more time served, over the initial 3 years.
4. All of the money earned by the adulterer/adulteress will be used to cover legal fees for the divorce and to compensate the innocent spouse.
5. Upon completion of the term as a prostitute, the husband/wife is allowed to re-enter society as a free citizen and given a choice to either remain as a prostitute or return to his or her previous jobs.
The story could be about a wife cheating with her lover. Upon finding the adultery, the husband finds that he still loves his wife and does not want her to be subjected to the brutal legal punishment of becoming a prostitute for 3 years. He tries desperately to save her, but she eventually ends up in a brothel. The story can then either follow the 3 years of the wife's life as a prostitute and the aftermath. Will she ever become a normal loving wife again? The story can have a moral, applying forced prostitution as a metaphor while examining and re-evaluating the idea that those who sin must be punished. Is it worth the punishment? Will such punishment help marriages? You may apply this to illustrate a political moral.
