Publishing AI generated pics in the arts section?

I wanted to know if we can publish ai generated artwork which shows the characters i had created in the lit arts section. It would help my audience identify with the character.

Will the mods accept if i submit them ?

Lit was quick to reply to my missive pleading for publication and sent this email today:

Now, I have a definitive answer not found in the Lit reference for AI work. "... we do not accept ... using A.I."

Dunno. I did last month, and what I posted hasn't come down yet. Though maybe now it will.

Other work posted later, not as nice as mine, of course ;-) , has also not been taken down.

The answer from Laurel relates to illustrated stories, not the Art Forum.

It’s an interesting question. Putting a link in your story to art that‘s in the “visual artists corner”. Certainly would be quicker than waiting for an illustrated story to be published. I guess the site will consider it as trying to get around the rules, and not allow it.
