Ok, I know these kinds of questions get asked all the time. And the typical answer is "Wait two weeks, message Laurel." But, I'm going to ask this anyways, cause I find this extremely odd.
On 5/21/25 I submitted the first chapter of my story, Shoshana Ch. 1
It was published 2 days later. This is a very standard turnaround time for me. I think my longest turnaround up until now was 4 days, for my first ever story.
On 6/4/25 I submitted Shoshana Ch 2-3 (One File)
7 days later, nothing. I was confused... wondered if something was wrong. Messaged Laurel. (Yes, I know it was not the 2 weeks)
3 days later (total of 10 now), still nothing. So I took the story and ran it through Grammarly just to see if there were any flags. Oddly enough, there were 2 passages that Grammarly flagged as possibly AI. Not sure why, as no AI was used. So I figured: "Ok, maybe that's the cause for the delay, maybe they are checking it for AI."
I rewrote those passages until Grammarly no longer flagged them, took the original submission down, and resubmitted. I understand that resets the clock, and puts me at the bottom of the list.
That was on the late evening of 6/13/25, my Control panel shows the date as 6/14/25, but in "My Activity" it does show that it was done on the 13th.
So it's now been 6/7 days, and still nothing.
I've never had anything take this long before. Is it a category thing? Is it a chapter thing? Could there be an issue with my story? Or am I just being paranoid?
I'd really like to get this published... I have already finished Chapter 4 and am working on Chapter 5.
