Pubic hair conditioner?

Is it alright to ask your wife or female friend to do something with that wire brush between her legs? The hair on her head is wonderful. Why is it so different down below? Is it a genetic thing? I guess I am asking this mostly of women. Would a conditioner be safe?

It is genetic, pubic hair is quite different from head hair - just look at the fact that there are plenty of women with straight hair on their heads and curly pubes. Also head hair will just keep growing and growing unless cut, while pubes stop after getting 2-3 inches long.

But yes, it would be safe to use shampoo and conditioner there, shouldn't be too hard to keep it away from the sensitive bits. Wouldn't want to use a dandruff shampoo or anything that is supposed to cause a tingling sensation though.

yeah you know pubic hair and facial hair ain't that far off (sad but kinda true) and as a person with both, i can say trimming has a much more profound effect than shampoo or conditioner would. trimming it just tends to make things much less bristly and more even. i'd suggest that. it's not like you're asking her to shave it bald!

Pubic hair (as the others here have said) is naturally pretty wirey.

I doubt conditoner would do much, though it's worth a try if she doesn't want to shave it.

We shave tonight! I am looking forward to it. I have not mentioned to her about what she feels like down there, I just said that I thought I would find her more attractive with just a small strip of short hair, top to bottom. I really do like this on models I have seen. I am not sure about how often this will have to be attended to. She has not idea either.

Just another dirty job.

Thanks for the advice.

Read some of the shaving advice threads before you shave!

I'd suggest her just shaving from her mons pubis/mound down (so her labia, bikini line, perineum area). A lot of women have trouble with a ton of irritation when shaving the mons area, and it adds to the upkeep time, so it may be best to at least start with just trimming that hair to around 1/2" with clippers or scissors. If you trim too short or don't shave daily, it'll be all scratchy/stubbly, so err on the longer side when you trim and go from there.

Similarly, you may want to just trim above your cock and shave everything below that (pull the skin on your balls taut and have her do your crack) because stubble can impede spontaneous sex.

Use a really good, brand new, multi-blade razor after trimming the hair you want to shave and a good routine so you don't end up with razor burn. Be prepared to shave daily (or maybe every other day) for weeks to a couple of months to avoid itching with regrowth. Of course you should wait for any irritation to subside prior to shaving again. Once your skin gets used to the frequent shaving, it should be less likely to become irritated/get razor burn and itch when you don't shave. However, some people always get irritation in certain areas (for me, it's a patch in the center of my mons and often bikini line) no matter how much/long the shave, so you may have to revise your plan and just trim those areas.

Also, check out Magic Shave Powder (the Platinum/Sensitive Skin one is best, IMO). It's a depilatory available in the ethnic hair/skin care or men's shaving section of most drugstores and mass merchandisers (like Walmart). We've found it works very well when carefully applied, and it's probably the best of the depilatories, as it doesn't irritate or reek, like Nair and Veet.

It's probably mentioned in the shaving thread, but using a light application of soild anti-perspirant on the area just after shaving can help avoid razor burn/bumps.

I would assume that God made the hair on top of her head soft, because it's mainly there to keep her head warm, and he made her pubes nappy, because it's there to provide a layer of protection for her reproductive organs against mother nature.
Conditioner isn't going to significantly change the texture of her pubic hair. Just suggest that she keep it trimmed.
