I'm actually surprised there aren't more of them.
My district is essentially the city of Memphis, and the fine citizens of my city are prone to electing all manner of preachers and celebrities and felons to office, so long as they have the requisite pictures of Jesus, JFK and/or MLK in their living rooms.
Now our nut-job Mayor has resigned so he can run against our really, really good Congressman.
Mayor Herenton is a Self-Aggrandizing Megalomaniacal "Chosen by God" Black Leader. The incumbent is maybe the biggest hippie in Congress, with a civil rights record that makes Malcolm X look like Pious the XII. Congressman Cohen.
This is going to get ugly, folks. All you dittoes who get off on watching Democrats eat themselves should tune in.
