The Other Side of Alice In Wonderland's Looking Glass

gsgs comment-

There is a world of difference between a 60 year old man, and a sixteen year old teen boy or girl. There are legal protections for teens, for a reason. There is a fuck load of things that they do not know, do not understand, and do not have the ability to predict. If they are lucky, they are not infuenced by horrible stuff that will hijack and ruin their lives. There is leniency built into the law, for teens. Because there is the possibility they will do something that is stupid.

Why are Kyle Kashuv's parents choosing not to protect him from exploitation ?

Are they thinking about Kyle's future ?

Why did 16 year old Kyle post his use of a AR-15, with his dad, at a shooting range, on twitter ? The majority of Americans were focused on the Columbine school massacre at the time. His mother knew about it.

Yes, Kyle's stunt has produced coast to coast attention.

I do not blame Kyle.

He is only sixteen.

He is getting rewards for his behavior.

He only knows he is getting attention.

A great deal of attention.

His name is mentioned in every newspaper.

His stunt on twitter resulted in attention from the police-

Kyle Kashuv said he was brought in for questioning Monday by a school security officer and a Broward County deputy

Did Kyle Kashuv say anything that is related to reality ?

Widely distributed article from Associated Press that nearly every newspaper is featuring

gsgs comment- Who is Kyle Kashuv ?

He is a student. He knows that many were murdered at the Parkland, Florida massacre at his school. (Marjory Stoneman Douglas)

Yet, he deliberately chose to call attention to himself, and use someone's AR-15.

On Friday, as teens across the country marched in the streets on the 19th anniversary of the Columbine school shooting.

The Houston Chronicle goes a step further and re-words what Kyle may have said.
(According to Kyle Kashuv)

After first being questioned by a school security officer, a Broward County deputy entered the room and sat behind the teen, Kashuv said. The deputy began asking Kashuv who the rifle belonged to and who he went shooting with. Kashuv said he asked if he could record the interview and was told that he couldn't. The teen said he felt like the deputy was trying to get him to incriminate his father.

Don Blankenship is not a very pleasant person. He was convicted for charges relating to negligence after the deaths of 29 coal miners during a 2010 explosion.

Blankenship spent a year in federal prison for conspiring to willfully violate mine safety standards. He was the CEO of Massey Energy.

He wiggled out from under serious charges.

Is he the leading candidate in the West Virginia Republican Senate primary ?

CHARLESTON - U.S. Senate candidate Don Blankenship said this week he shouldn't have to file a financial disclosure with the Senate's Select Committee on Ethics, as candidates are required to do.

Speaking to The New York Times, Blankenship said his business dealings and the scope of his wealth are no one's business but his, and that there's not much of a penalty for breaking the law.

"I don't personally think anybody should have to disclose private information," he said to the Times.

As the Charleston Gazette-Mail first reported on April 9, Blankenship is the only West Virginia candidate running for Senate who does not have a financial disclosure available with the committee. Such reports outline candidates' sources of income, financial holdings, debts, board positions held and financial agreements.

What led Blankenship to be unpleasant about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's wife ? (She is Secretary of Transportation, Elaine Chao.) Blankenship's own wife was born in China, too.

hmmm! This political attack ad might be related

April 26, 2018

A Republican PAC that many link to McConnell has been airing TV and digital ads in the race claiming Blankenship ruined drinking water for southern West Virginia residents while piping fresh water to his own home.

Republicans have spent months trying to figure out how to derail Blankenship’s campaign. They fear that if they attack him directly, they’ll only boost his anti-establishment bona fides in a possible repeat of what happened in Alabama last year, when Donald Trump and national Republicans tried and failed to stop Roy Moore from getting the nomination.

gsgs comment-Trump made a robo -call to support Roy Moore.

"We need Roy voting for us and stopping illegal immigration and crime, rebuilding a stronger military and protecting the Second Amendment and our pro-life values," Trump's voice is heard saying in a robocall obtained for ABC News. "But if Alabama elects liberal Democrat Doug Jones, all of our progress will be stopped full.

"Roy Moore is the guy we need to pass our 'Make America Great Again' agenda," Trump adds.

gsgs comment-

Who can forget Trump's campaign rally in Pensacola, Florida, less than 20 miles from the Alabama state border ? Trump polled the audience for attendees who crossed the state line to see his rally, and urged voters to "get out and vote for Roy Moore."

Why is Blankenship chosing to cross over, into the territory on the Other Side of Alice in Wonderland's Looking Glass ?

He supports efforts to fight regulation of pollution. He polluted drinking water with coal slurry. He fights against the study of global climate change, and global warming.

Pruitt, facing criticism from Democrats and Republicans following reports of excessive spending of taxpayer money and potential conflicts of interest, appeared before the House’s Energy and Commerce subcommittee on the Environment and the House's Appropriations' Interior subcommittee to discuss the EPA's 2019 budget.

Instead of a discussion about the budget, Pruitt mostly fielded questions about having purchased a $43,000 private phone booth for his office, flying first class to protect himself from unverified "security threats" and paying $50 a night to stay at a condo owned by the wife of an energy lobbyist, among other reports.

Love those rollbacks!

Ecologists, and environmentalists are invited to fuck off, and go away.

The Defense Production Act "is written so broadly you could swoop in and save a facility, you could swoop in and save a company, you could swoop in and save a sector. It’s the ultimate in flexibility," said Mike McKenna, a Republican energy strategist. "That act gives the president an enormous amount of authority, but it’s specifically premised on the idea that this stuff is essential to national security -- that we’re going to war. The problem in this instance is that some might think that an approach relying on the act trivializes national security

The Other Side of Alice in Wonderland's Looking Glass counts another member of influence

April 26, 2018

The US Senate confirmed Richard Grenell, Fox News contributor, as Donald Trump’s ambassador to Germany.

The Berlin post had been vacant for 15 months – the longest such period in postwar German history – amid opposition from Democrats to Grenell’s often controversial remarks on Twitter.

Democrats in the Senate held up Grenell’s nomination for months, criticizing his prior comments as “misogynistic” and “incendiary”.

Michigan's two senators -- U.S. Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters -- joined the majority of their Democratic colleagues in voting against Grenell's confirmation. Six Democrats and 50 Republicans voted in favor of his confirmation.

Grenell's "catty" history

Grenell’s hiring took on immediate national attention when he washed his Twitter feed of comments critical of female political figures and other women.

Grenell deleted more than 800 of his past tweets aimed at the media, prominent Democratic women and the Gingriches. Grenell also apparently took down his personal site, which featured writing on politics, foreign affairs and the media, the website reported.

On the spokesman’s list of attacks were First Lady Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Callista Gingrich and MSNBC talk show host Rachel Maddow.

After a week of Trump disasters, including horrifying the FOX TV hosts by going off the rails, it is Trump Time!

US citizens at the rally on the Other Side of Alice in Wonderland's looking glass will hear that Trump, the object of their affections, is clean!

No collusion!

Sadly, a pronouncement shouted, is not reality. Not that it matters, to those on the Other Side of AIWLG.

@JohnBrennan

A highly partisan, incomplete, and deeply flawed report by a broken House Committee means nothing. The Special Counsel’s work is being carried out by professional investigators—not political staffers. SC’s findings will be comprehensive & authoritative. Stay tuned, Mr. Trump

Time to celebrate a non-event, with a round of golf!

Sorry, Trump stage actors, sorry Trump fan clubs! Cool your heels and wait another hour or two. Trump is running a bit late.

Selfridge Air National Guard Base ? "en route to Selfridge Air National Guard Base"

He will get there, when he gets there. Meanwhile MAGA hats listen to Kool and the Gang, "Celebration" while waiting in line in ol' Michigan.

grouchy!

Per pool, Trump has arrived at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, VA.

This is Trump's 151st day at a Trump property as president and his 110th day at a Trump golf club as president

Trump has been president for 464 days, which means he’s visited a Trump property 1 out of every 3 days in office. There are so many reasons why this isn’t in accordance with democratic ethics guidelines and yet it’s another unacceptable action that is now broadly accepted

The absurdly partisan House Intel Committee report—complete with the Nunes clown show—underscores precisely why an independent Department of Justice and Special Counsel investigation is so necessary
