PSA: Sunday NFL Tickett

As is the norm every year Direct TV tries to screw its inforce customers. Saw my recent bill and a $320 charge for this years premimer NFL ticket. ( There is two levels of service this year. The top tier included a app to watch any game from a phone/computer, RedZone, and something to do with tracking your fantasy players).

The basic tier is 200 for exsisting customers. I think it is free for first time customers.....


As I do every year I called to bitch. First level operater can take the premier down to 192. Supervisor level can take it down to 145.

Not every Sunday. But when I do it usually involves 8-10 friends, lots of BBQ, Beer, and three TV's in the house and one by the pool all playing the games I want to see. Not the games the local network dictate to me.

Yep....it's the same shit every year but this is the first time they have broke the 300 barrier.

It is 70 and sunny in the winter here so weekends are for the pool and football. I have clients who like to hunt, so I just go to a nice ranch during the week and expense it to the company when I feel like bagging an elk....

There's always room to haggle with the cable/dish add-ons, if you're the type that doesn't mind doing it. But that's stressful for a lot of people. Auto dealers count on the same thing--folks who "don't want to make trouble" and just accept the given number.
