Airborne viruses are concentrated in environments with recirculated air. This is potentially hy historically why flu has a "season" and the current pandemic lulled as weather encouraged open windows and outside activities.

Humidity seems to retard a lot of viruses, and HVAC systems tend to remove moisture from the air

Consider having fresh air exchange added to buildings you work in to dilute the concentration.
