A recall has been announced involving laser printers made by Dell, IBM and Lexmark.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled a total of nine different models because the printers can short circuit posing a shock hazard to users.

The recall effects one IBM printer, two Dell and five sold under the Lexmark brand name. All of the defective printers were sold from May until August of this year for about $200.

*bumping* since I've seen a lot of the Lexmark with problems

Thanks for the bump.

One Litizen in the Author's Hangout needed to know this and is waiting for his replacement printer. It's a recall that needs more publicity.

Lexmark sucks!

I know I used to work in a computer store, they were the worst.

I recommend HP printers. Their setup programs suck, but the printers are the best! And, no hidden, 125V shock hazards, so far.
