I'm thinking that this was what was trying to access my computer last night through Hotmail.

This thing will attempt to steal your MSN password as well as replicating and sending itself to people in your address book.

You said that you thought that it tried to get to you through hot mail, I assumed (I know bad thing to do) that your PC was hooked up all night and receive mail when it arrives. Mine gets email when it is running whether I click on receive or not.
