Help, I'm thinking about a game system, which should I get and why do you support that one?

Don't forget, potential players will include a 6 year old and a 2 year old (with limits, so don't start with lectures about letting kids play video games instead of (fill in your own blank here) ).

Thanks for the feedback.

I prefer the X-box, just for the more Mature games... if it is mainly for the kids use, the game cube might be the choice. Nintedo seems to cater to the younger with their games.

The game cube has more child-targeted game. Also from what I hear it's the most 'social' system.

*HIJACK!!!!*

Oh my god, how have you been, stranger? My power tools have been awfully lonely.

:D

ack, my poor little thread, hijacked by an incredibly sexy woman...what shall I do?

One thing that was making me consider the PS2 or XBox over Gamecube is the fact that you can play DVD's on the other systems....that would give me the ability to watch DVDs on two different tv's....

I've read the xBox isn't doing so well.

GameCube is the one that focuses on the younger audience.

Play Station focuses on the young teen audience from what I've seen of the games.

I own none of these, but if I was buying one for a child it would probably be GaneCube. If I was buying one for a household it would probably be Playstation.

Myself, I just don't play video games.

This is based on my LIMITED knowledge from renting PS2/X-box.

X-Box - dvd/cd player (+/+), Not a great game library (-), Slightly better graphics from what I have seen (+), NO MEMORY CARD NEEDED/finite internal memory!!! (+/-?), And finally you can rip cd's!(+), Only system with HALO!!!! (+) Total = three, maybe four solid pluses.

PS2 - dvd/cd player (+/+), Exceptional game library (Plays all psone games as well although you need a mem card from the old system to save psone games (++/-), memory card/VERY finite memory (-/-) Total = one solid plus...

I cannot comment on the Game Cube though, never played it.
I heard Mario sunshine was fun though.
