So it looks like sense may prevail and prostitution in the UK may be legalised and controlled.
I think this is good, and will stop many illegal activities.

So who on here would use one?

I wouldn't use one but I've been saying for years it should be legal.
It takes away the seedy and shady side of it. I imagine there will be less prostitutes getting raped/murdered when it's taking place in a building with security guards.

It is already legal in England if a woman is operating indoors and is not supporting a man by her activities.

The police force in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands, will become the first in the U.K. to record misogyny as a hate crime in an effort to tackle the increasing number of incidents in the county.

Misogynist hate crime is defined by the force as: " Incidents against women that are motivated by an attitude of a man towards a woman and includes behaviour targeted towards a woman by men simply because they are a woman."

The new category will include everything from verbal comments to unwanted physical approaches. The use of mobile devices to send uninvited messages or take photographs without consent will also warrant police attention. When reported, Nottinghamshire police will investigate the claim and specially trained officers will provide support for the victim. Domestic abuse will not be recorded as a misogyny hate crime because it already has a separate comprehensive procedure....

I wonder why this is necessary?

What would busybody say?

;) ;)

I don't see the problem with King John. Hard to find a perfect good king back in the 13th century.

He was an able administrator. He brought England back twice from Bankruptcy caused by his fool of a brother, Richard. First when he beggared the country to go traipsing off on Crusade and again for his ransom. English became the court language again under John, not French. He was an able general despite his losses in northern France. He strengthened the monarchy in opposition to the barons. While both sides pretty much ignored the Magna Carta it is a part of the Anglo speaking countries nation building myths. While unsuccessful he opposed the foreign Pope. He was successful in driving off French invasions of England.

Personally he may have been an asshole but his father, Henry II, was no better and Richard was a pompous fool who spent virtually no time in England.

It was 200 years later before he was linked with Robin Hood (A Yorkshire lad). Religious chroniclers were the main source of his bad reputation. Servants of the foreign Pope.
