The English language has a rich vocabulary for erotic words. We can choose "manhood", "penis" or "cock", all of which mean the same thing, but carry quite different connotations. Same with "jade gates", "vagina", "pussy" and "cunt". Word choices determine reaction, whether we want things romantic or down and dirty, either in erotica or real life.
What connotations do the following fairly blunt propositions have for you?
1. "You want to have sex?"
2. "I want to make love to you."
3. "Want to do the wild thing?"
4. "I think you need a good fucking, don't you?"
The answers probably depend on your generation and geographic location, among other things. I am early 40s, and in the Midwest, to put my own connotations in perspective.
1. "You want to have sex?" Kind of dry and clinical, lacking imagination, doesn't really feed the chemistry. Still works of course, if she wants you.
2. "I want to make love to you." Implies romantic and relationship interest. Therefore the single most likely proposition to get a woman to say "yes". For this reason, it is often used by notorious cocksmen, who don't have the slightest interest in romance or a relationship -- as well as other guys who do have a genuine romantic interest. Other guys avoid it like the plague, even though they know it works well. It contains the "L" word, and implies that you will call them afterwards.
3. "Want to do the wild thing?" Lighthearted, teasing, easiest to reject in a joking manner, implies casual and fun sex.
4. "I think you need a good fucking, don't you?" Raunchiest and hottest of the propositions. Makes very clear that your interest is hot, animal sex. If that is her interest, it feeds the chemistry, and works the best of the group. If she is marginal, not interested, or doesn't want to be thought of as a slut, it is the most likely to get turned down, and to possibly offend her.
