Proposed George W. Bush Sewage Plant makes ballot

SAN FRANCISCO - A measure seeking to commemorate President Bush's years in office by slapping his name on a San Francisco sewage plant has qualified for the November ballot.

The measure certified Thursday would rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

Supporters say the idea is to commemorate the mess they claim Bush has left behind by actions such as the war in Iraq.

Local Republicans say the plan stinks and they will oppose it.

This was a couple of weeks ago as the date at the top indicates. I saved it and forgot to post it. Found it today and still think it is worth posting.

OMG, will that ever set off a game of tit-for-tat! Can you imagine all the things that other parts of the country will want to name after Al Gore, the Clintons, Jesse Jackson? Jeez, people, never get into a pissing contest with a skunk!

A sewage plant treats waste and takes care of messes. So I think it rather fails. Maybe a garbage dump?

Better choice. But then, what do we name after Billery? A false front on a movie set? How about the Al Gore commerative Hot-Air Balloon?

Volupt,

Welcome back from vacation. You usually make me laugh with your posts and this is the right material for your comedic side. I missed you!

Hi Sweets. We had a ball and I'm so proud of myself. 16 days of French food and I only gained about 4 lbs. It's a miracle . . . *presses hands together, assumes dopey smile, looks towards Heaven*

You know, there aren't enough garbage dumps and sewage plants for all the idiotic politicians out there.

Damn shame, really.

This reminds me of the old joke about why the stamp with [insert politicians name here] face on it was a failure.

People kept spitting on the wrong side. :D

At least with the sewage plant, every time a local resident flushes, she/he will be sending her/his excrement directly to George W. Bush. That would give me great pleasure.
