Trying to gauge interest in an idea for an Author’s Challenge in 2026.

Proposed idea: 4 the hard way.
Write the same sex scene from 4 different points of view.
2 are people involved in the act
1 person aware of, but not participating in, the act
1 author’s choice

This would be more in the nature of a writing exercise, but could lead to some interesting reading.
Is this something people would be interested in?

I could've done this with my Halloween entry. It currently has back and forth between the participants. I also could've done POVs from a couple of passengers. At least one is noted to have noticed what was going on and seemed to be unhappy about it, but left. I easily could've added another watching with interest.

(That's my way of saying I'd be interested.)

I could see it as a Writing Exercise here in the Authors' Hangout. The basic setting and sequence are established by the thread starter, and then anyone can write snippets describing the scene (or part of it) from a specific POV.

Okay, newbie question here: What's an "Author's Challenge" in this context? Do you publish the story regularly? Just put it here on the boards?

During the course of the year, various authors here organise "challenges": essentially, they invite everyone (or a select few) to write a story on their chosen theme during the course of a few weeks. Laurel adds the event to the publication calendar and announces it on Lit's front page. Usually an anthology of the stories is published after the event.
