Prophecy, well maybe?

Tim Pawlenty sprinkled "tiger blood" into a speech before college Republicans in Iowa on Friday, drawing titters from the crowd as he said 2012 GOPers will have something in common with Charlie Sheen — winning, duh.

"Now, we may not in this room have 'tiger blood' like he does," Pawlenty, the keynote speaker at the Iowa College Republicans event, told the chuckling crowd, according to a report by radio host O. Kay Henderson. "But we do have something else in common with him. There's going to be a lot of winning on the Republican side in 2012."

Then I read;

Perhaps Mr. P will want to re phrase his comments now? :D

I assume he meant "whining," not "winning." So, yeah-- sounds like he got it about right.

Are we gonna start this crap all over again?

If you want to, that's fine— but don't come back bawling about keeping fuckin' politics out of the AH. You started this.

It is, of course, inevitable. There's always somebody. Everything always descends to the lowest common denominator.

Until recently, Charlie Sheen starred in the highest ranked weekly show on TV and was the highest paid actor, so "winning" sounds about right. I will readily concede Sheen does some whining too.

As for the GOP winning in 2012, I expect them to win seats in the Senate, possibly gaining a majority, and to hold the majority in the House, so they can predict winning for themselves also. They might or night not regain the presidency.

yeah, the crap never ends, never goes away, asking politely doesn't make a difference, talking to laurel doesn't make a difference. You want to use this forum for a toilet? go for it. JackLuise wants to take partisan dumps in here? He knows why he shouldn't, but just like that koran burning preacher he'll do it anyway because he can.

You all are going to fill the table with your turds. It's inevitable.

*shrug*

Partisan dumps? I guess I must have over looked your "Literary Threads". They must be buried in the thousands of posts that occur every day on the AH?

I'll admit that I have an odd sense of humor. The Pawlenty story and the Sheen story seemed to fit together and prophecy has been bandied about a lot here. I thought it funny and thought you could use a laugh. I guess I should have put in the Humor thread?

Seriously Stella, where are the literary leaning threads here?

I see today there is a Plot Bunny, as if I needed another idea when I've got four I'm working on. What I'd like to talk about is writing, plotting and story arch development. I see very little of it, and often don't contribute to them because I'm a newbe.

So since this 'turd' is already on the table,

It's good to be born to people who know people.

That's largely the perception many Wisconinites are taking away from this weekend's revelation that the son of a major political donor to Republican Governor Scott Walker landed a very well-heeled post in the state's Department of Commerce with apparent ease.

His qualifications: dropping out of college, working for a few Republicans, working for a lobbyist shop and getting busted a couple times for DUI.

That one reason why Wisconsinites aren't necessarily happy to hear that the young Brian Deschane, the son of a lobbyist for the Wisconsin Builders Association and a major Walker donor, is now earning $81,500 a year on their dime.

And lucky him: In Brian's first two months on the job, he even landed a 26 percent pay raise, according to The Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel. It's a very generous percentage too -- unlike Wisconsin teachers, who typically make about half of Deschane's salary and see their pay increase only 21 percent every 10 years.

Now, I think this is humorous, in a dark twisted way. I wonder why Obama isn't bombing Wisconsion, with dicks like Walker in charge.

This is what I do instead of debate uselessly on the forum; I make the phone calls. I pinpoint my pennies. I, and thousands of other people like me, make a little bit of a difference.
Stella -

They just announced -- only minutes ago -- the final precincts in the WI Supreme Court race and we won!!

WI Republicans are in a panic. There will be a recount, but the damage is already done. In fact, district by district results show major problems for the WI Republican Senators across the state -- especially for Republican Senator Dan Kapanke where JoAnne Kloppenburg won his district handily.

We have the momentum -- now it's time to shut them out! Contribute $8 to keep our hard-hitting TV ad on the air.

The election would never have been close if it weren't for you and the work of DFA and Progressive Change Campaign members nationwide. We made 96,945 calls to voters since last Thursday. In an election decided by only a few votes, the impact of these calls can't be understated.

Make no mistake: Republicans will fight back. Incumbents are always hard to beat. They out spent us this time and nearly pulled it out. You can bet they will double down for the upcoming recalls.

That's why we need to hit them hard -- right now -- while the energy is highest and deal a fatal blow.

Please contribute right now.

And thank you, Stella, for everything you do to win.

200 votes difference in that race, sure to be a recount.

Everyone knows that...

Only if they Goggled it.

Your political action friends were just pumping the handle, for more donations. THey'll be back. :)

Speaking of prophecy, I hear Charley Sheen did much better in his second show. He wasn't booed off the stage, like in Detroit. I guess he decided to take his tour seriously.

Wait-- do you really think nobody could guess there'd be a recount? In America, the land of sore losers? Who needs google for that? The probability is mentioned in the email, for crissake. It's a given.

I made phone calls. I talked to voters in Wisconsin. I'll make more phone calls. I don't have much money, but I've got a phone.

I don't know if we'll win or lose, but I take it seriously. I do what I think is right, actions speak louder than, and all that... I don't think talking about it on a forum that averages ten views per post is doing much.

The land of sore losers, such as Al Gore, who insisted he carried FL in 2000? Or Al Franken?

By the way, are you from WI or are you a carpetbagger?
