My friend took advantage fo the fact that Ladbrookes on-line betting system had gone wrong, effectively letting him place a bet an hour later than he should of done.
After waiting until the 5th innings of a baseball match, he placed his bets, and cleaned up to the tune of £200.
Two days later, he's playing baseball, batting no less. He swings, the ball clips the bat, and hits him right in the face

Some kind of Cosmic Karma effect? Or just bad luck?
