Proove yourself!

I scored 10/10. I would be really disappointed in myself to miss any of those. I would like to think I would get at LEAST a seven on a test about Sweden that was THAT general.

I mean, I don't expect a non-US person to know the number of stripes on the flag, for example.

But how hard is it to link "court" with "judicial?"

10 out of 10, but for an American, it was a really, really easy quiz.

Yeah, it should have talked about . . . the Federalist Papers, the Trail of Tears, the reasons for the electoral college, Whigs, stuff like that. Then we'd know who was a dumb American!

I could see myself missing a question about the Whigs. I'd nail the other stuff, I think. Depending on how detailed you got.

I got "You Are a Smart American." No score, just the words and a picture.

And how many do you think you'd score on a test about Sweden?:p
How many would you?

Quick Swede quiz for ya, let's see if you can nail those (I knew only 3 without looking them up  ):

How many seats are there in the Riksdag palament?
What happened in the year 1210?
How many verses does the national anthem have?
When did the Swedish-Norweigan union end?
What is the official language of Sweden?

Are you a dumb american?/

I got 7/10 and was deemed NOT to be a dumb american. Now, how much points do you guys score? And how many do you think you'd score on a test about Sweden?:p

I'm a smart American!

Since we're talking about Americans and other countries' view of America, I'd like to think that all people in the UK didn't feel this way:

Well, Svenskaflicka, I got 10/10 too. Any American SHOULD ace that test easily. As for Sweden, I don't even care to try. To be perfectly honest with you, it's not that important to me. If you choose to think of me as a borish, stupid, rude American I'll deal with that. Knock yourself out, hun.

SlickTony, I hope the rest of the UK and the world doesn't feel that way about us either. If they do it's our own damn fault. When the lesbian's take over and I become Queen of the US, I'd break every damn treaty, agreement etc, pull every damn one of our troops back, secure our borders and then deal with each country on an EVEN, business like basis. Screw diplomacy, screw being the unappreciated baby sitter for the world, screw saving people's bacon, then having them say we're are mean and rude. I'd fix the mean and rude part, but the rest of it goes too. No favored nation status, no hands across the waters, no foreign aid. It stays here at home and we deal with and treat other countries EXACTLY as they treat us. No better, no worse.

[soapbox mode off]

Whew! That felt GOOD!

Smart American. Geeze and here I was hoping for something about "Hoover-villes"

It's ok. Sweden is about as important to the rest of the world as pocket lint. And I'm a swede, so I can say that.

Chech mine in this thread, bel. Best of luck.

Borish, stupid, rude? Nah. Full of youself, maybe. But as long USA remain a super power, it's understandable why you would be.:)

I got 6/10 on the US one and 7/10 on Svenska's Swedish quiz.

What did happen in the US in 1776? I know what happened in Australia in 1770, but history wasn't a required subject when I went through school.
