All he says is that genocide is often preceded by a psychological preparation to teach the people who wil do genocide that they are oppressed vicitms. Sure, that makes sense -- Hitler convinced the Germans they were oppressed victims of the Jews. The Hutus in Rwanda believed they were victims of the Tutsi. But what has it to do with anything going on today? The only genocides happening now are the Chinese on the Uighurs and the Israelis on the Palestinians. (I'm not sure Sudan really qualifies.)

Now, if you want to compare the people on the ground on the front lines, why not compare those chanters that you mentioned with the people who stormed your Capitol, attacked the police, ransacked the place and called for the murder of public officials?
