Prohibited Material?

Have had several posts deleted as:"Material prohibited as per forum guidelines."

And a couple of threads closed because of 'persistent and sustained violations of the forum guidelines.'

It would really help a lot if the moderator who deletes and closes these threads would state which of the forum guidelines have been violated. Thanks.

Looking through your post history, it seems the bulk of your posting here on the forum is images.

The primary reason image posts are removed is the presence of URLs/site names on the images themselves. That's the most likely culprit.

If you did upload any graphic images here by adding them as attachments, that's another possibility. You can only link to graphic sexual images, not store them on Lit servers as attachments.

The various forum sections all have different moderators, and it is possible that some of the images passed a bar of what's "too graphic" for that particular moderator. If the first two don't apply, then this is probably it. You'll have to contact the moderator via PM and find out where the bar is.

Tx, you could read the Forum Rules. They can be found at the bottom of literally each page.

P.S.

It seems the mods of the Personals/Playground and BDSM do not care about, nor enforce, the rules of this site. And GB has no mod. So, "break the rules" in those boards.

Please direct me to the BDSM forum posts that are in violation. Quite often people report pictures that are posted, but they are only in violation when uploaded to Lit’s server. Posting a link to another site where the image is hosted is not a violation.

I know links are fine. I thought that when the pic was embedded - so you see it right away in a post - and it was of something hardcore (or other violations) it was against the rules.

For example, this post in BDSM Cafe.

Please read this post that is a sticky in the BDSM Cafe: link. The post you linked contains a gif that is not hosted or uploaded to the Lit server.

Embedding or posting as a link are a personal preference. Embedding is not a violation.

I am pretty careful not to include URLs/site names on my images and don't think that is the issue.

Nothing was added as attachments, so that is not the issue.

I think the issue is in your third point; the particular moderator chooses to follow the published guidelines very strictly. There seems to be fewer problems with posting just links to the images and that is what I will do to avoid the prohibitions.

in your case it's usually graphic sexual content. the reason i don't,usually, cite the reason for an edit or deletion is because it's time-consuming as it is to edit numbers of copyright/url/graphic/under-age references that occur.

ifyou follow Klippert's example, you'll be doing okay.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. Will do.

Well, this site does have it's own rules and standards, it's best to abide by them. But I see your point. It's like,"Ok I'm guilty, but WHAT am I guilty of?" Gotta have a chance to learn from your mistakes right?

There are some mods here that simply disagree even if it's within guidelines, but make up their own rules.

^^^I wanted to add "It wouldn't surprise me if my post or your thread were deleted". But still screwy stuff going on here and my last sentence went straight to 'quote' mode to myself.

how about just reading the guidelines?

who?

Hard to say since:

1. Pointing fingers would get us bitten.
2. Mods aren't identified with a Rank/Title here as they are on most boards.

I know who a couple of them are and they have not responded favorably when PM'd about issues on certain boards. More of a shoulder shrug that taking action.
