Hard to imagine any evil corporation socialists/progressives love more than Apple, perhaps the world's biggest tax evader and most definitely the Communist Party of China's best ally in their draconian digital oppression and prosecution of the Chinese people.

Funny how Apple refused to cooperate with America's FBI just a a couple/few years ago, but are now open to the Communist Party of China having full access to their source code.

All those communist billions (very, very soon to turn into trillions) don't just grow on trees, you know.

I have always despised Apple. Never did get into the 6502 processor. Then they moved into the 68k family of crippled chips. We beta'd the original Mac before release and agreed with the common reaction: a device created by geniuses to be used by idiots.

Then we get to Steve Jobs' psycho-control-freak riff. Apple controls everything on its products. You don't get to load unapproved software unless you're in hackerdom. Media and warez you 'buy' may be deleted or censored. You can't change batteries on some devices. And the cost, ay yi yi, the cost.

Apple has never been a 'progressive' corporation. Those of us aware of that, go Android. We don't necessarily care much for MicroSoft either -- an old mantra went BILLGATES IS SATAN -- but at least MS doesn't go to Apple's censorious limit.

As for the OP, Apple isn't exactly a "progressive" darling. Lots of progressives use Apple products, but so do a lot of conservatives.
