For most things on your profile, it's better to go through the login link on the story index page to the "member's profile" version of the data. There is a link at the top of your member's profile to the edit-profile page.

Thanks,I went through Log In & Edit Profile,but still no luck.One thing I find confusing.The field for password & repeat password already show entries.Should I enter alongside,delete them,or what?.

Only if you want to change your password. If you do want to change the password, you should delte the old one before entering a new one.
