Profile pic question!

Just curious about whether this pic, which is currently on my main Lit profile, makes it clear enough that I'm a dude. (Posting it as a link just as a courtesy, nothing graphic here.)

Asking because I tried dipping my toe in the chat room thing here, and what I've found is that, even with the words "not female" in my signature, and even with Male selected in my profile, I still get guys who start chatting me up in the chat room thinking I'm female because of my name. ("Chatting me up" being shorthand for telling me their age and cock size. So there's that.)

And I know I can pick a different pic (maybe something with power tools), I just sort of figured people might read the profile. Anyway my takeaway is to avoid the chat, and just sort of feel weird about what women have to deal with on an everyday basis. But still curious if it's *that* hard to tell from the pic that I'm male.

I'll throw my two cents in. If you want to make it totally clear, then it is not clear enough. If you don't want to make it totally clear, it leaves you guessing.

Thanks! And good to know. Not so much because it’ll confuse people in the chat, which didn’t interest me much so I’ll probably avoid it, but because I’m not trying to mislead a reader who clicks my profile after reading a story. (Whenever my stuff gets posted.)

That picture could go either way because of the posing. The sad thing is you state in your info that you are a male and folks just pay no attention. They see what they wanna see. No one can fault you for their ignorance.

It is clear that people don’t bother to click the link to profiles in the chat room. It isn’t easy to do if you use a phone or tablet to access it.
