Problem with privat messaging

It says I have one unread PM, but when I look there is nothing new. The last PM I received was last week, and when I read it my counter went back to "Unread 0", but when I logged in this morning there said there was a response to previous PM, but nothing is showing up except the old PM.

And poof, problem fixed with sending of one PM. Weird.

I am seeing the same problem, a single unread message with a total of four messages. however both the inbox and sent messages folders are showing 2 and 1 messages.

Any ideas?

The PM system is being hit with spam. It is being reported to Laurel and she is deleting it globally and the spammer account. Sometimes this hangs up the counter. It should reset itself after a while.

I keep getting popups that I have private messages, but when I go check them out the Inbox is always empty. Right now it says I have 3 unread messages out of a total of 4 but there's nothing in there. I got another one when I checked this morning.

I also have one spam P.M. that I can't delete.
