Probably naive questions about porn

I'm not much of a porn connoisseur, owed to partly my lack of $$ and Catholic guilt. But I have a couple dumb questions:

1) In amateur porn, the stars are RL couples by definition, right?

2) How granular is the ability to search at pornhub? For example: how specific can you specify the appearance of cast members/genre?

Very granular. Like I am into "dental" kinks and any kind of sex at very high altitudes. Both those kinks, that are pretty specific, are accommodated in search.

That's cool. I use a lot of porn so I am very familiar with the features and capabilities. The programming behind my favorite sites improves every year. I admire what these companies bring to the consumer. That's why they are so popular and, I assume, profitable.

Pay sites are garbage, dont bother. Plenty of sites like you mentioned.

These sites are smart. They tend to suggest things you will like over time because you develop an internal profile as you click links. There are others with your interests (whatever they are) and it knows if you liked that, you'll like this.

I'm with you on the idea that it is more of a voyeuristic thrill if I am at least convinced that the people are enjoying themselves which leaves out professional porn.

I would counsel you not to worry too much about whether someone is or is not a professional if they give you an amateur vibe. If you're enjoying it that's all that matters.

Tips to recognize actual amateurs are things like poor lighting, clutter in the background, frustrating camera angles, and short sessions.

Myself, I tend to like situations and clips that draw me into substituting the people in the clips for people I know. I've kind of come to liking little bits of porn because it is easier to fuel my imagination with lower amounts of input. Gifs as opposed to clips.

Browse and enjoy what you like.

The one thing that I have found if you just keep clicking through from one link to another eventually your find yourself down some rabbit hole that is off putting. Some sites are not very back button friendly because when you try to do that it brings up some pop-under ad. I browse back through history and try to figure out which road less traveled did I take that led to the scary part of the woods.

There are threads in the fetish section where people are posting up there favorite video clips. If you find someone who's taste mirrors your own take a look at some of the other posts maybe they have other ideas to point you.

Your absolutely right though about needing to find some way to filter it. Most of the actual filters and words searches are sort of worthless because there's just so much out there and it is so subjective what anything means to anyone. You just got to poke around and find what you like.
