pretty sad when your entire existence can be summed up 3 minutes and 17 seconds of pop music.

Not Pretty Enough
Kasey Chambers

Am I not pretty enough?
Is my heart too broken?
Do I cry too much?
Am I too outspoken?
Don't I make you laugh?
Should I try it harder?
Why do you see right through me?

I live, I breathe, I let it rain on me
I sleep, I wake, I try hard not to break
I crave, I love, I've waited long enough
I try as hard as I can

Thats bull shit. Beauty and sexyness is in the way you cary your self. Iv seen real ugly people get whom ever and what ever they want because they REALLY believed in them selfs and walked and talked it..... know what I mean?????

i know what you mean huskie :) i guess maybe the song sums up my past more than my present, because my attitude has changed a lot.

it's still a pretty song though.

It's normal to relate your life to a song, a poem, or a passage in a book as you are growing & maturing. Usually, they only capture a mood or a moment.

As you complete your formal education, & as you find out if the practical realities of your dreams of careers & relationships are worth the price , you'll adjust. You will become more yourself.

Then you'll be able & willing to write your own words , because you will realize that you are , in fact, so unique that no-one else can do it for you.:rose:

I know it may feel that way at times, and sometimes I feel that way too, but it is never that simple, or that sad. More importantly, you are just starting out and you have your whole life in front of you. I know everybody says that, and it gets old, but it is nonetheless true - and nobody understands it better than someone like me who has been through most of their life already. I would give almost anything to be your age to start over again - as would many people my age. You have at least one thing that is majorly in your favor - time. Make the most of it.

Hello
I'm the guy who sits next to you
And reads the newspaper over your shoulder
Wait
Don't turn the page
I'm not finished
Life is so uncertain

Here I am
Yes it's me
Take my hand
And you'll see
Here I am
Yes it's true
All I want
Girl is you

Given that true intellectual and emotional compatability
Are at the very least difficult
If not impossible to come by
We could always opt for the more temporal gratification
Of sheer physical attraction
That wouldn't make you a shallow person
Would it?

Here I am
Yes it's me
Take my hand
And you'll see
Here I am
Yes it's true
All I want
Girl is you

If Ford is to Chevrolet
What Dodge is to Chrysler
What Corn Flakes are to Post Toasties
What the clear blue sky is to the deep blue sea
What Hank Williams is to Neil Armstrong....
Can you doubt we were made for each other?

Here I am
Yes it's me
Take my hand
And you'll see
Here I am
Yes it's true
All I want
Girl is you

Look
I understand too little too late
I realize there are things you say and do
You can never take back
But what would you be if you didn't even try
You have to try
So after a lot of thought
I'd like to reconsider
Please
If it's not too late.....

Make it a.... cheeseburger

Here I am
Yes it's me
Take my hand
And you'll see
Here I am
Yes it's true
All I want
Girl is you

My life can be summed up in a song too

:p

Today ... here's me...

Sunny morning
You can hear it
Siren's warning
There is weather on both sides
And I know it's coming
Just like before
There's a black dog
That scratches my door
He's been growling my name saying
You better get to running
Can you make it better for me
Can you make me see the light of day
Because I got no one
Who will bring me a
Big umbrella
So I'm watching the weather channel
And waiting for the storm
It's just sugar
Just a pill to make me happy
I know it may not fix the hinges
But at least the door has stopped it's creaking
I got friends
They're waiting for me to comb out my hair
Come outside and join the human race
But I don't feel so human
Can you make it better for me
Can you make me see the light of day
Because I got lab coats
Who will bring me a panacea
While I'm watching the weather channel
Waiting for the storm
You won't want me
Hanging around the birthday pony
Even though it's just a game
You know we are the same
But you're the better faker.
