I'm wondering if most people have had sexual experiences, particularly ones considered unwanted or "inappropriate" during which they pretended it wasn't happening. It seems very common to me. Care to share your thoughts and experiences?

How can I delete this post? I didn't realize it would be an isdue
You should be able to do it yourself. I think that, if you look at your own post, you will see 3 options, includine "report," "edit" and "delete." Just click on the "delete" button.

I did actually delete it, or at least the offending part. Thanks for the info tho!
I guess I never saw the offending part.
I thought that there might have been an implication of underage activity or sexual assault in the question about disassociation, but I gather you were asking about a more specific incident at first.
And that reaction is extremely common.

There's nothing at all wrong with the question in itself, so long as age is kept out of the conversation. And yes, denial is a common reaction to unwanted sex.

I've had work environments where I was constantly getting felt up & flirted with by my female coworkers (there was a bodybuilder guy who got it a lot worse).

Never bothered me and I was into it, but I kind of laughed it off and never really took advantage of it - I was supporting a close relative and I really needed the job (it paid benefits & a 401K) and one of the jobs was in a very high-pressure, gossipy and volatile workplace.
