Pre-established Incest relationship

Here's something I don't see nearly often enough. There are SO many stories about the origin of two family members getting together, and some continue through to see new challenges arise, though few really grab my attention. I'd like to see more stories that start on a day in the life of a couple that has already been together for at least a few weeks. The only ones I can really think of are from WFEATHER.

But I'd like to see the daily life of a happy, monogamous, incestuous couple. Maybe them even meeting another couple like them. Not necessarily swinging or anything, just talk about their relationship. Be friends, you know?

The writing challenge with this is that a good story typically requires conflict and change of some sort. If it's a pleasant, established relationship, where's the conflict? Where's the change? What's your concept for the story?

At the beginning of a story, you have a character who has an unmet need. In a typical incest story, two related people have the hots for each other, but their desire is stymied by the taboo. Taboo creates conflict, and conflict makes a good story.

I'm not saying you can't write a good story on the premise you're discussing, but you have to think through how you create unmet needs, conflict, tension, and dramatic interest.

Maintaining a relationship like that has many challenges, wouldn't you say?

Oh, absolutely. And those could make the story very interesting. I'm not dismissing the idea; I'm just saying it presents a whole array of challenges that aren't present when the story is about how the relationship starts.

I'm actually dealing with this because I'm interested in writing a sequel series to my 8-chapter Hot Mom series. The first series was a slow burn that culminated in a mom-son relationship in the last chapter. The next series would start one year later. The trick is in trying to figure out how to give it the same level of thrill. I have some ideas about that, but it's challenging.

Hi like Rugers idea of a rekindled relationship several years later. It could be the funeral angle or a family reunion. Both siblings are coming off bad marriages. The parents thinking they got over their behavior and have them stay in their house for the week long reunion. Quite a few possibilities present itself here.

The easiest challenge to add drama is the fear of discovery, or actual discovery, by loved ones; co-workers; or to add spice, fellow members of the very conservative church to which one or both of the protagonists belong.

A scenario where a brother/sister couple "corrupts" a naive girl comes to mind. The incest isn't the focus, but underlying and hidden basis of what could be a classic triangle, while the new girl is employed as camouflage, at least by initial intent. Certainly not strictly monogamous, but they could "release" the plaything eventually, set her up with someone or some such.

They could live in a incest commune, similar to a nudist commune.

My idea for a series was this: Mom and son hook up at the end of my 8 chapter series. It's a year later, and they have decided to end the relationship because of feelings of guilt, because they don't want to get caught, and because the son moved out of the house for a while because of job or school. But he's back now, living with his mom, and the tension is getting bad, and it's only a matter of time before they can't keep their hands off each other.

I like that plot idea Simon. Son and mom/stepmom decide to end things. To much to loose - her marriage, his acceptance to a major college. He leaves and the mom/stepmom divorces regardless. Son remains at college his freshman year and works a summer job to earn some pocket money. He decides to come home on Christmas break. Son completely buffed and bronzed shocks her. He left a scrawny boy and now is a strapping young hunk of a man. Mom/stepmom completely transformed her looks. Her hair now strawberry blonde, her body toned and tanned like that of a marathon runner. Her braless breasts were perkier then before, probably had a little nip n tuck after the divorce. Her features caused him to see flashbacks of their intimate relationship from a few years back. He realized he still has strong desires for her, wondering if she felt the same way.

Thank you naughty.

Well I have to admit, if I can ever finish my current chapter / series, I now plan to have a reunion with the two main characters. This thread has sparked some ideas, along with the plot outline from Simon and Amber.

I like this idea

I find this quite interesting as an idea, because I find that I always have the opposite problem. I enjoy writing about how these relationships start and develop, but then once everything is established I kind of get a little bored. Some authors keep introducing new characters, which I always try to avoid too much.

If there is someone who could write a story like this where the 'action' did not become too stale then I would love to read it. Good luck for whoever goes for it!

I agree. The introduction of new characters seems to dilute the thread. If the writing partners feel an additional character is needed, they need to develop that character in pm before introducing it into the thread.

That's something that we've tried doing. Throughout our latest story we have introduced a few characters who could end up being incidental, or at least are a little set up for introduction to the story later on if needed.

But I suppose that's a bit of a tangent away from where this thread was going.

Great thread. Interesting concepts for both stories and role playing.

In role playing, communication is key.

I don't think it has to be. I think, in fact, that an incest story lends itself very well to the introduction of new characters as a way to preserve conflict and interest.

The reason is this: the incestuous couple has an overwhelming need to maintain secrecy. They can't let anyone know. Outside characters threaten to reveal and expose the couple and end their relationship.

For instance, my mom-son story has an ex-husband, and though he cheated on her he's still kind of interested, and he pokes his head around from time to time. Obviously, mom and son can't let him know, so that's a source of tension.

Maybe there's a girl interested in son, and mom's jealous. Maybe she's the next door neighbor's kid, and they have to be really careful when they're in the back yard because she might peek through the fence. The girl next door likes to come over to the house and hang out by the pool in her bikini trying to catch son's attention, and it's driving mom crazy.

Mom has a boss who's got the hots for her, and he can't figure out why she keeps rebuffing him.

Mom has a jealous co-worker who's competing with her for a management position, and one day she sees incriminating evidence of mom and son on mom's work computer, and tries to blackmail her.

The key is to find ways of maintaining conflict, tension, and interest, along with the hot incest sex, of course. Other characters can do that.

A couple of recent pre-existing relationship stories that come to mind

Behind the Black Door—RelentlessOnanism
Mother’s Day wishes—Xarth
Working for Mom—NotWise

I always get a little thrill when someone mentions one of my stories...

Although there is a pre-existing incestuous relationship in Behind the Black Door, I do go on to explain its origins, and (without giving too many spoilers) there is another incestuous relationship that the origin of is detailed therein.
