I don't have a specific plot idea, but I thought this article on the allure of high heels could provide someone a nugget of an idea:

Not exactly revealing stuff, but fun nonetheless.

I think if a woman makes herself a "shoe dangler" as well her power will be felt even more!

Plot ideas:
- shy mousy girl tries high heels for the first time, is amazed at all the attention she suddenly gets.
- guy has major league heel fetish, tries to avoid talking to women n them because he always gets major wood.
- asshole boss has a major heel fetish; his female underling starts wearing them so she can distract him, tease him, and get revenge on him.
- two female social science grad students go into a bar to confirm the findings in the OP's paper; hilarity ensues!

Great idea! Despite the discomfort the girl in question is totally aware of the influence she has over men as soon as she slips into her heels. As a result uses them tactically to get what she wants.

I know high heels can make a man go broke.

My wife had an ex-husband who was short, so wearing high heels made her taller than him, something her HATED, so he forbid her to wear them. With me, I could not care less, so she ran with that wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to the extreme.

At one time she had (3) shoe-of-the-month clubs; these online stores that sent her high heels that they thought she might like, and she would keep and pay for those that she liked. Of course they were shoes, so she kept most of them. She was also going to the shoe store so often, that one day the woman said, "you are in here all the time and obviously love shoes, have you ever thought of working here. We are hiring", and this was BEFORE covid when the hiring buzz was not happening.

At one point she had so many pairs, well over 300, that I built her a separate walk-in closet just for her shoes. Some ladies don't even have a walk in closet, she had two; one for her clothes and one just for her shoes. We called it her "Shoe Barn".

A high heel story I once wrote though, was a Western.

A lady in a town in the west, circa 1870 or so, found a pair of high heeled shoes similar to those worn by soiled doves in an old pioneer house that was abandoned. They had a strange catch to them, but liking how they looked, she put them on. She found out they were a lock of sorts, and once on, could not be taken off. Embarrassed, she went to the local blacksmith who was her husband's best friend. Unbeknownst to her, he was a pervert of sorts, and had made the high heels knowing whoever put them on, would come to him to undo the weird lock. Infatuated with her anyway, he tried to blackmail her into sex, but she refused, and would have been raped had her husband not tracked down his missing wife, and saved her from his perverted friend. In the end, she realized her husband likes her dressed sexy, and that she likes dressing that way.

Another story I wrote about high heels, was where a man finds these really high heels in his daughter's bedroom closet, hidden and hard to find. He takes them to work and implants a tracking device in them, and waits. A week later he finds they are on the move, and in a seedy side of town. He tracks them down, hoping to save his daughter from an underworld that is dangerous but she is oblivious too, only to find that his wife is wearing them. They were hers, keeping them hidden in her daughters closet for the several times a year that she becomes a prostitute. Not so much for the money, but her enjoying the crazy lifestyle that it is.
