Posting Vampire stories - Non-Human or Erotic Horror more popular?

This is a gratuitous plug disguised in some serious questions:

Which category gets the higher readership? I've posted my first misguided attempt at a vampire story in Non-Human and received the lowest amount of reads I've ever had with the highest percentage of comments.

This is the story:
White Heart http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=430223
White Heart Ch.02 http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=446267

Do other posters delete stories that don't get an H? Do people persevere with serials even if the numbers aren't there to justify it? Is it a simple matter of bombarding Lit with chapters to entice readers to return to the previous instalments? Is it wrong, awkward, or jarring to have an eight year old child in a Literotica story? (Not sexually active of course).

I welcome any thoughts, comments, feedback with much appreciation.
(Yes, I know I need an editor!)

I think you'd probably do just as well in either category. Non-human *might* get a little more reads than Erotic Horror just because of the "horror" designation of the other category.

You'll get more reads in Non-Human, because people shy away from EH.

As to the numbers: They're going to be far lower than EC and Lesbian sex, where your other stories are. It still isn't as much of a niche category as Sci-Fi/Fantasy or Humor, thanks to the popularity of vampire and were fic.

My two non-human ( non vampire/were ) stories are in the 10-12k range of views, 150-200 votes, 10-12 comments, and they were both in themed contests, which draw larger numbers than the average story.

If you need large amounts of reader feedback, it's a category that you really have to work in.

I love writing nonhuman stories. I just finished Trouble for Tabitha which turned out to have twelve chapters and an epilogue and has gotten great feedback and reads. It's not so much as the category as getting a fan base. Non human does have fans, they just have to be enticed to try your work. They are very loyal and very honest and will tell you exactly what they think and how your work makes them feel.

I've written in a lot of different categorys. If you're just looking for reads, try incest. or Loving wives if you have a strong constitution. Good luck with your writing!
