I have a lot of stories posted, but to date my techniques has involved converting the story to raw text and pasting it into the submission page. I have a story i want to post that needs to have type face (in particular italics) preserved, which my method does not do.

I know it can be done, but anyone wanna clue me in on the best way to do it?

I was thinking HTML tags might do the trick, but didn't know if that would really work or if there was some easier way.

Thanks in advance!

I've been using html tags for <i>italic</i> and <b>bold</b>, but I don't know if there is an easier way. You can upload a Word file and send a note to please retain all formatting, but my experience has been that it takes longer to get the story posted that way.

For italics, all you need do is put <i> at the beginning of the italicized word/phrase and </i> at the end. (This is different from this forum, which uses [] rather than <>.)

Doing this and cut and pasting text into the submissions box is still the simplist, most assured way of doing it.

If you are seeking fancier formating than that, Lit. probably isn't going to accommodate it and it probably would just be distracting from the read anyway.
