Posting GIFs

Can anyone advise how I can post a GIF on any of the threads?

I always receive the message that the file is too large or that the site has run into problems.

As far as I am aware you can not upload an animated gif. Lit now uses content delivery networks (CDN) for hosting images, and gifs are converted to jpg files. You would have to host animated gifs on servers that Lit accepts and embed the link (hot link) into posts.
