According to my index, my most recent story to be posted was on November 17. "What's this?" you may well ask when you notice that I am posting this on November 16. "Why is something listed as being posted a day in the future? Why don't they just post it as soon as it is approved?"

Well, that is what I am asking. Actually, it was still November 15 when I saw that date but it was the 16th in EST, which is, I believe, the time zone being used.

Actually, I am curious, not complaining. Being posted then means it hits the new list with better timing, and will get more reads than if it had been posted on the 15th. :D

Literotica is based in the Pacific Time Zone (California).

I can only guess at why there might be a delayed approval:

1) Maybe Laurel won't be available to do approvals today (the 16th) so she approved stories to automatically post while she was busy elsewhere.

2) Maybe the quota for one day's posting had been reached and Laurel is just getting ahead of the curve for tommorrow's posting quota.

Actually, Literotica may be based on the West Coast, but the servers are located on the East, and automatic approvals, when done (because of contests or last-minute Survivor entries, for example) are done at midnight EST. ;)

I've noticed they sometimes do that with chapters that are submitted consecutively. I've had up to three chapters pre-dated at a time.

Okay, the story has posted and I have included it in my sig line. It posted minutes after 9:00PM, PST, which makes it just after midnight, EST. :D It is NOT my usual tale of affectionate sex.
