I was thinking of posting a detailed and in-depth instructional video on youtube about how to cut the brakelines on someone's car.

Is this a good idea?

I'm sure the information is already out there to people willing to look for it, you'd just be making it easier. But the real question is why you would do it?

Well... you could always post a video on how to REPAIR a damaged or "cut" brake line, and of course you would have to go into great detail and explain how to RECOGNIZE said problem. Kind of takes the "monkey off your back" if someone starts pointing fingers after the dastardly deed is done, if ya get my drift...

What if my instructional video gets millions of views and I become incredibly famous?

I'll add awkward commentary about collecting on life insurance policies and how to avoid getting caught by the authorities.

What if someone actually takes my advice and tries to kill someone via vehicle sabotage?

Would I get in trouble?

First off, this is a very inefficient means of murder.

There is no guarantee that the targeted person will die if they are involved in a traffic accident due to there being no brakes. The lines are only cut about half-way through so the brakes gradually fail after about an hour worth of driving, and not right away.

It would eventually be determined that the brake lines on that vehicle were severed and then a criminal investigation would be started.

This is usually done by mobsters and people involved in organized crime as a means of threatening and intimidating their enemies.

Shouldn't you post a vid of something you know about? Like making foil hats.
